Facebook initiated a big uproar with its change of the News Feed from chronological setting to an algorithmic grade, which never survived for some. When it still allowed categorizing your feed by “most recent”, the choice is anyway concealed in the sidebar and returns normal only after 24 hours. But as marked by developer Jane Manchun Wong, it considered adding tabs to your News Feed as a way to organize your feed orderly. So what could be this change and how it could impact? This is into Facebook updates.
As to the facts around, it seems News Feed going to get in three different tabs naming, “Relevant”, “Recent” and “Seen”. But later with Facebook confirmations, we found this is still under testing and totally for internal use by the time of writing. However, this could soon be out in the public as my personal review where it aims better organizing in feed for easier reach.
What is the idea about the update to Facebook News Feed?
Looking at the idea, we could get it smart for the public as it makes the user easier to find what they are looking into. And in the other way, that makes all the content well-categorized and accordingly a fine order. So user has more rights here to know about how the news feed is organized. If this going to be applied, we would be able to find the feature handy. And if company is possibly going to add the custom tabs like photos, music, contacts and more, this idea would be worth more than it ever planned for. So different from other upgrades Facebook ever received so far, this will be make the user highly benefited.
